How I’m Achieving Body Confidence and a Summer Ready Body!

Hello everyone, I had another post I have been working long and hard on but with how great I feel after todays work out I just had to share my enthusiasm and the links to the videos I have been using to get me in tip top shape and feeling great about myself for this Summer.

Self care is something that should be very important to everyone. For me is wasn’t until after I became a mother that I learned just how much it really mattered. I learned what it meant to need to take care of yourself consistently so that you can be your best self to take care of your family. Lately it seems I’ve been making all the right decisions to help me both mentally and physically. With everything have had going on like moving back into my mothers house, having emergency surgery and then some self care is very crucial at this point in my life.

Some of the ways I have been practicing self care currently is by taking alone time when it is offered to me. Now that I have moved back home I have so much help and support when It comes to raising my daughter. My daughter has been thriving in all ways possible allowing me to mentally detach myself for a little bit while trusting her in the care of my parents. They take her to the park for a little while and I take a shower by myself, or I work on my website get get something else done that needs to be.

I have been making more time for Coffee, weather it be a coffee date with friends or simply enjoying a cup at home while I do some dishes. I just make sure to not drink any after 4pm or else I’m wired all night. While putting Elayna to sleep for either her nap or bedtime I indulge and catch up on all the wonderful TV shows I love.

Now that I have been leading a healthier lifestyle and have been sleeping a lot better. I get sleep, actual sleep during the night and only nap with my daughter on occasion now. By occasion I mean like once or twice every two weeks and it’s usually needed. This leaves me with more time to focus on what I need to get done and she. I have everything done it allows me pleasure time to indulge in my hobbies.

Like I mentioned earlier I’ve been enjoying coffee on my lonesome as well as going on coffee dates with friends. All my friends absolutely adore my daughter and are encouraging and helpful of me doing the best things for my girl. Recently we spent almost the whole day at the park, the sprinklers were on and it was super warm out. Elayna had a blast and so did we. Choosing to surround my daughter with happy positive people that geuininly care about her and her well being along with mine has been such a blessing for the both of us. My daughter has started coming out of her shell and has become this amazingly explorative and open little being encouraging me to release myself from my shell. I’m thankful for all of my friends and family who make an effort to be in my daughters life.

I’ve been focussing more on healthy snacks these days, today we had watermelon for snack and it was delishhh! I do tend to indulge in some chips and unhealthy snacks though too. This usually happens when I’m hungry but have a lot of work to do after Elayna is asleep. I’ll pull out a bag of chips or munchies and snack as I work.

But let’s get to the real reason. You’re all here. Not to hear me blab about what’s been going on in my life or just how well my daughter and I have been doing. You’re all here to see what I’ve been doing and how I’ve been doing it. So here it is.

I have been exercising not only while Elayna is napping but while I’m playing with her. Today while she napped I worked through the following three workout videos.

These three videos are perfect and short for new or single moms who don’t have very much time, busy moms and just busy women all around. I’ve found that doing these three videos a couple times a week has really started improving not just my body but how I feel mentally too. I feel like I’m taking better care of myself because I am. Some of these exercises can even be done with your children. Lately for the extra challenge I have been sitting Elayna on my tummy while doing some of the exercises! She has fun, I have fun and I’m setting a good example for taking care of yourself setting goals and being healthy which is so important to me.

    I am all about self-care too! For me, my self-case is working out–either running or doing full body workouts. I enjoy a mom stroller group that allows me to take my toddler with me. Will have to try those vidoes you use!
