Sunshine blogger award

The sun still shines bright as the summer season is slowly coming to an end and I must say I am too excited for Fall to come.

Like a way too excited.

Like if it fell today I wouldn’t even be mad.A well-known fact is that the sun shines year-round. The days may shorten but the sun and its warmth still shine bright.

Today I’m sharing with you my sunshine blogger award! I am so grateful to the two lovely ladies that nominated me. That’s right not just one nomination but I’ve received two.

One of my nominations came from Chocoviv who has a totally rad website and is always liking my posts and tweet. She is so supportive and I’m grateful for her love and kindness. The second woman of the hour that has so graciously nominated is Bethany she has a great website and a great Esty shop!

So you may be scratching your head thinking “well what the heck is a sunshine blogger award” and part of my responsibility in this post is to share with you it’s meaning. The Sunshine Blogger Award is an award given by peers in recognition of your blog for inspiring positivity and joy!

This is an honour for me because spreading happiness and positivity is one of my main goals with this blog. Realizing that so many people actually visit and leave my website happier, or with a little more courage to fight their fears is satisfying to me. I just love to help I guess. So all of these award posts have rules which I think is great, it ensures that we’re all doing out part and paying it forward to our fellow bloggers.

Rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you in a post and links back to their website (or in my case websites!)
  • Answer the 11 questions they asked you
  • Nominate at least 11 new blogs and ask them 11 new questions
  • List the rules and display the logo on your blog

So since I was nominated for two awards I will be wandering 22 questions today instead of 11 and I will create 11 questions of my own for the nominees!I’m going to start with the questions from Chocoviv. Don’t forget to head on over to her website and see what she’s all about!

1. Where is your hometown?

Well, I was born in Toronto and lived there until I was 4. Then I moved to Hamilton where I have lived every year afterward except the year I moved to Burlington. So Hamilton to me is my hometown.

2. What is your favourite drink?

Wellllll, COFFEEEEEEE, duhhhh I like hot coffee and cold coffee and iced capp and more! I just loveeee coffee.

3. Who is your favourite superhero and why?

This is totally cheesy but I don’t care, and I also know they will read this. My favourite superhero is my Mom ❤ she is the best mom I could ever ask for and I hope to one day be at least half as great as her in my daughter’s eyes. My mom is the strongest woman I know and has fought every battle life has thrown at her with everything she has. She has loved me unconditionally even though all my faults and the years I wasn’t very nice to her.She is a blessing and I wouldn’t be here in this world without her and I also wouldn’t have a safe happy and healthy home to live in with my daughter if it weren’t for her and my dad.

They have done the best they could raising me and are such a blessing when it comes to supporting my decisions in life. My mom has taught me to be kind and caring no matter who crosses my path and her genuine nature is something I hope to pass down to my daughter. For a million more reasons than these, my mom is my superhero ❤

4. What is your favourite book series?

Well, the only series I can actually remember finishing is Twilight. Somethings telling me I should read more books….

5. What is the most exotic food you have tried?

Uhm, I’ve had Eel, octopus and also Shark when I was younger.

6. Do you prefer writing with pen or pencil?

Hmmm so this kinda depends what I’m writing but 9/10 times it’s pen, I’m like really specific too. I have OCD for sure. I can’t start using a new pen for the same piece of writing orbit drives me insane, like if the ink and stuff look different or the pen just doesn’t write as nicely as the previous one.

I swear I buy like 10 packs of pens when they go on sale for 97cents just to make sure I have ample supply of the perfect pen. You were probably thinking this would be a shorter answer and honestly so did I. Than I just started telling you my life story. Oh well, hope you found it interesting.

7. Do you play video games? Which one?

I use to play videogames sometimes but when you have a baby you literally have no time for anything like that. I’m lucky I can make time for my blog!

8. Travel alone or with friends?

Friends, it’s just safer and more fun.

9. Tea or Coffee?

This hurts so much. I can’t chooseI am the Coffee Mamma but oh dear do I ever love a good cuppa tea 👌

10. What is your favourite animal?

So this is also hard. I’m a cat person for sure but I recently discovered how much of a dog person I am too. But I’m also really weirdly drawn to owls. Like I’m obsessed with owls.OBSESSED

11. Sweet or Salty?

Depends on my mood 🍟🍨

Those are all the questions from the lovely Chocoviv. I had so much fun answering these for you and I hope you enjoyed learning some random things about me.

Now I’m going to dive into the questions Bethany gave me!

1. What is your favourite genre to read and write?

I’ve honestly never thought about my favourite genre for reading but when it comes to writing I like to write strictly truth, everything I write is authentic and genuine. But I mean is that really a genre?

2. Is there anything in your past you would change?

There are a few things I wish I had done differently but in all honesty, I don’t think I’d change a thing. Everything I’ve done, everything I’ve been through has made me the strong woman I am today.

3. What is your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment is being a mother who is fully committed to her child no matter what life throws at me.

4. What is your biggest fear?

Shhhh it’s a secret.

5. Do you have any fur babies? (If you do, what breeds?)

I have a cat named Benny, I also had 2 Gerbils Casper and Sully before leaving my ex. Hopefully, they’re still alive but we’re no longer in contact.

6. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?

Hmmmmm, I love the though of living in Florida, but ive always been a sucker for the beauty of Georgia, so either would do. Ouuuu, definitely by a beach though!

7. Do you prefer vacationing at the beach or in the mountains?

Well, I actually love both. My favorite place is in the Laurentian Mountains. My family has property with a resort that has amazing amenities and it also has it’s own personal beach on the lake 😎 talk about the best of both worlds!

8. Are you more urban, suburban or rural?

I like to think of myself as urban.

9. What would your dream profession be?

Well, I’d love to one day monetize my blog but I’d also love to be an event planner. My passion is cosmetology and hairdressing though.

10. What are your feelings on the oxford comma?

Uhmmmm I don’t think I have any feelings about this.

11. If you had only one day left to live what would you do?

What would your last meal be?This is actually too sad for me to answer right now. I’ve been doing really well emotionally and I feel like if I put any thought into this it will bring me to a dark place I’ve worked hard to leave.
