Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a blast doing whatever you were doing.
I definitely had a blast. My daughters got a cold and went to bed early which sucks but since she went to bed early I was able to clean the entireeeee house after she went to sleep. And I did just that. Then I went to bed early because she’s a toddler and wakes up between 630 and 730 🤦♀️ when she’s older there will be plenty of time to stay up until midnight but this year just wasn’t it.
The house had still been a little off-balance since Christmas and our brunch party. It was driving me insane I literally couldn’t wait to clean! But I had to wait because my daughter likes lots of snuggles when she is sick and she gets them! How can I deny her one of the simplest things that helps her feel better? She’s also been having a bit of a rough time adjusting to some inconsistencies in her life and she needs all the love we have to offer her.
But I’m getting way off track here. This post is about my New Years Goals & Resolutions!!!
As I mentioned in my previous post I plan on going back to school soon. So a goal of mine is to actually apply to go back to college. In the meantime id also like to strengthen my skills by taking some free courses through one of our local libraries.
I’d like to start focusing a little more on my blog again. I want to post at least 1-2 posts a month.
I’d like to start eating healthier this year. I mean it’s not like I eat trash on a regular basis anymore but I still feel that there are more opportunities for me to eat healthier.
Last year I had just under 17000 views. My goal was 3000 than it was 6000 I believe. So I think an acceptable goal for this year would be 10000 views.
I’m sitting at just over 500 followers. I think I wanna aim high this year and aim for 1000 followers on WordPress!!!
I’d also like to reduce waste withing my family and become more green friendly. I want to help make this world a better place for my daughter to live in.
Start drinking more water again. When Elayna was born and shortly before I could not get enough water which was great because water is amazing for you. However, I’ve upped my coffee and tea intake drastically and that’s been hurting my health.
Spend more time indulging in self-care. Because everyone should be doing so.
Become more involved in a charity. This is important to me because I want to not only feel how good it feels to give back again but I also want to show my daughter what an amazing feeling it does give back to your community and to go out of your way to help others.
This year I’d like to start buying gifts from small businesses instead of places like Amazon or Walmart. I actually just purchased going away gifts for my sister and her boyfriend from a wonderful young lady I went to high school with. She has a crochet business and she made the cutest little Baby Yoda and Succulent for them. It felt amazing to know that I helped a small business out and got gifts that we’re really amazing at the same time.
Start decluttering. So my mom finally came to the realization of why I had so many things moving back in. Because for the last 4years I’ve moved around at least 5 or 6 times and my weight has also fluctuated from being 140 pounds to 95 pounds to pregnant and having a baby so this has all caused me to accumulate things over the years that I really don’t need or have many multiples of. Needless to say ill be going through everything I have and donating tons of things.
I feel that these are some great goals I have come up with and they are all very achievable. If I try to hold myself to any more than this I will just get overwhelmed so I will leave it at these goals for now. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my post! I hope you have all been having a wonderful start to the new year!!!
What are your goals for 2020? What’s most important to you this year?
