My Blogger Recognition Award

Hello everyone. Have you ever kinked so bad that it hurts to move your entire body?

That’s what I am dealing with right now but that means I have given myself a clearly much-needed break from all the unpacking. I get to rest and play on my phone. I am so happy to hopefully get back to posting more regularly. I have missed you guys & blogging so much.

I am so stoked and honoured because today I will be sharing my Blogger Recognition Award with you. I was nominated by the lovely Jennifer from Failure To Thrive No More and I have been super excited to reciprocate and show my appreciation for the award. She is a wonderful gal with a great website make sure you stop by. Now that things are calming down slightly I hope to start building better relationships with everyone here in the blogging community too.

When you’re nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award, there are rules you need to follow while accepting the award in order to keep the circle going:

  • Thank the blogger that nominated you
  • Write a post to show your award
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
  • Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you

As per the instructions I’d like to take this time to send out a big Thank You to Jennifer for nominating me. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to engage and connect with you and other bloggers.

The next task I’m required to do is give everyone a brief story of how my website came to be. It all started on a different website, I was harassed by my Boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend through social media and my website while I was pregnant and I decided that I wanted a new niche. I’m a mom now and that means I have changed in so many ways. I felt like maybe it was also time to recreate a more Mature or Grown Up website for myself to work from. It seemed like a fair decision. After months of thinking and actually almost going with a different title, Coffee Mamma was created.

Now for my Advice…

My first piece of advice is to not let the stats get to you. When you’re first starting your website things can be really slow. You’re learning how to do everything and network as well as all of your other real-world stressors you have going on in your life. Don’t sweat the small stuff. The views will come with time. It takes a while to build up a steady audience.

My second piece of advice would be to find a couple of experienced bloggers that you vibe well with and build a relationship with them. They will be very willing to help you and will have a lot to teach. Plus it’s always nice to have someone who understands pretty much exactly what you’re talking about when you run into certain problems.
